Hi folks, I am really hoping for some help. I left my diamond ring ring (not engagement but as expensive as one) in a changing room in Grafton St today. Someone went in after me and I noticed within minutes, she didn’t have it and to be honest I don’t think she’s lying.
I know exactly where I was in the area of the large shop. I think it may have gotten lost in a bundle of clothing when I handed it back after trying it on.
I wondered if I received permission from the store to go in after hours (or before opening) if a metal detector would pick it up?
I also thing it may have gone underneath furniture. It’s not a huge area to search but more finicky than anything.
Praying it shows up and someone hands it in but just wanted to ask here. I only lost it this afternoon and searched for an hour for it.
Thanks Catriona

If it doesn’t turn up, I was thinking of buying a small metal detector on Amazon and searching the area around the store for it.
Do you think it would work or would too many fixtures interfere with it? Not too sure how metal detectors work exactly.
Desperate and distraught here over losing it.

Very difficult when metal items are lost inside modern buildings, so much metal used in construction nowadays. Metal detectorists prefer stuff lost in grass or sand. Best of luck, hope it turns up.
