Hi Guys,
Hope You are all well. I am reaching out using this site as I lost my wedding band a few weeks ago along the footpath in Athenry (53.307495, -8.761186). I wonder if there is anybody here that may be able to help me i.e., Maybe getting together or renting the equipment for the weekend. I have a pretty good idea where this was lost. Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks, Peter 086 3369700

Hi Guys,
I just want to add some additional info:
Wedding ring was lost month ago(Feb. 2023). I was running that evening with my son. This was a cold evening from what I remember. I noticed the ring missing the next morning. Type of ring: Gold(half yellow, half white gold) Area of search: Footpath is 1km long with grass on the each side (grass width 2 meters) The grass will be the main suspect. Location: Athenry Co.Galway (53°18'34.2"N 8°45'27.4"W)
As i mentioned in the previous post. Any help will be highly appreciate.
Thanks, Peter 0863369700

I'm afraid I'm not in the area, but that sounds like a very difficult search, as a footpath will be full of other pieces of metal. E.g bottle tops, pulltabs, cans, packaging etc, so you would probably have to dig a million of those targets to find it.

If it's a concrete footpath it can be strengthened with steel rods which can play havoc with the search. If its a gravel one, might be easier.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for looking into this. I'm hoping that the ring is somewhere in the grass. I might wait for the dry weekend an hire the detector.
