I'm heading to Galway on the 25th but that's probably a little too late if you are moving out on the 11th. Hi Payter, I'm just seeing this now.. apologies. Although we have moved out, I still have access to outside areas (trying to trap a cat to take with me lol). I think the 25th might work. Would you be up for a visit? I would really appreciate it.. and hopefully the weather might be drier than when Bull McCabe wad there π€

Yeah I'd be up for giving it go. I'm heading up to Galway from Tipp so Kinvara is pretty much on the way. I'm heading up for my work Christmas party so I'll have to head away at around 3pm but could aim to be up there for around 12pm if that suits.
Are you positive the rings were lost in the garden and if so is there a chance that they might have gotten caught in the grass clippings and dumped? Also, what metal are the rings?

I had a go searching today for around 3 hours but had no luck. As TheBullMacabe said there is a lot of iron and trash in the ground and lots of false signals.
There was a few targets that screamed out in the right id range but ended up being mostly tin foil. I tried using different frequencies but settled on 15Khz which seemed to work best.
I'd say the Deus 2 would fair a lot better with its separation but I unfortunately don't have it yet.
Gave it my best shot anyway. If anyone lives close by it's worth giving it another go. There's a lot less iron and trash in the ground after today anyway!

It was worth a try starting to suspect it might not be the place it was lost this can happen. Well done for giving it a bash anyway.
