Welcome charmaine. Get yourself set up by trying out the Minelab in the back garden. Some coins reasonably placed with a medal or two with a spoon thrown in to complete the practice group and then find them. Get one of the family to throw these items anywhere in the garden. Seems easy? How about using a blindfold? Not so easy. Ensure a willing assistant is close by to avoid simple trips. This will get you started. Big school after this practice session.
