We have a man who just lost a wedding ring on a Wicklow beach if any of you guys can help pm for details. He is offering a reward only newly married and already he is in the bad books. Some of you do this beach regularly just waiting for a few more details. Lost in clearly defined area just not sure if its in the water or out yet. update would need somebody to move on this smartly if they can. i.postimg.cc/vZ1m2ykH/lostring.jpg

this sounds like a job for one of the nox guys....my vallon is only waterproof to a certain level, and without discrimination I could end up digging for hours...I'm also back in work from Sunday, so not really able to organize anything before then.

Looks like Dave2 is going to take on the task if he needs any help he will let you guys know...good luck and happy hunting Dave. It's a shocking condemnation of our government that they do not see the good you guys do and reward you for it.

Went down this morning with G51 but alas no luck with the ring at all. Hopefully someone else will be out that way soon and find it.

Hi Zerovis,
I can pm you the details and contact number if you want to have a bash at it the lad seems sure he lost it in a small area but the tide was in so it may have moved a little. I think Solo might be willing to take peek as well to see if he can find it... let me know if you want the details.
Thanks guys!

Yep, Dave2 and me headed to Wicklow to try to find the ring and got there with the tide still out from the beach but no joy. It would be helpful if the owner was there to give best indication to where he thinks it may be. So, anyone headin up or down.....good on yez!

Hi Guys , I Went down last night , got there for about 17:30 and searched till about 20:30 covering about 30 meters by 30 meters from Low water line back up the beach , also searched to hip level in the water , almost no targets at all , got one too deep to dig, as in after a foot of digging it was still down there and not making the right sound and combined with the depth it was unlikely to be the ring , Best of luck ,

Fair play zerovis, you seem to have done all the right stuff. Look, if it’s still there then it’ll be a brilliant find for someone. But, having searched the area you would wonder just where abouts is it? It would help if the owner would point exactly to the area last seen, and what way was the tide? Or is that reasonable??? If you just lost a ring while paddling or swimming at knee height, frantic searching in sand might create a hole. It could be deepish............maybe another day.

The owner is and was willing to meet up with anybody who wanted to search this is part of the reason i passed on his number. I have to say that was some effort put in looking for the ring. I guess sometimes we have to depend on the gods to show us favour. I think parkman was going to try his hand today but after zerovis search i have my doubts about success for anybody. Well done again to all who answered the call. I am sure the man will be gald you all gave it a go.. ya did your best well done again.

I went to the beach this morning. I had a good search around that area no luck at all.If its in the water it might still come up after a good storm. Zerovis did not leave a bottle cap on the beach

It was pretty bleak with signals when me and G51 were there, got a few coins and a bracelet and a small amount of trash. Can only imagine what's it's like now after getting hit so frequently 😂

Your all forgetting Andreas cleaned that place out a couple of weeks ago.. The ring could still come up if the northeast winds hit that beach.. At least theres a record of it so if a member here does pick it up, theres a chance it might make it back to its owner yet.

Have the say the guy met me there , marker the area and then went back to Dublin to collect his wife , when she arrived she confirmed he had the area right , surprisingly little rubbish on that beach , but its a bit of a walk from the car so not likely to bring scuba gear down there, My advise would be check the tide and arrive about an hour before hand , its most likely at or below the low water mark
