I think I'm going to sell both these detectors, I got the AT Pro last year, I've used it twice for couple hours and I got the Ace 250 2 years ago as a birthday present I've used it probably 5/6 times. I've an awful fear of getting into trouble for metal detecting and I never get the chance to get out to the beaches. Plus the fact I've no time either.
AT Pro comes with bag, Pin pointer, coin box, flask and headphones + coil protector.
Ace 250 comes with headphones and coil protector.
Both boxes there for them too. Id like to sell both together.
I'm in donegal.
€550 for AT Pro package €150 for Ace 250
€650 for both. Price is firm thanks

Two popular machines davey. I reckon you're not the only person who gets put off by the ridiculous regulations in place here. Most of us stand our ground armed with the knowledge we've gained on here, but it's understandable that some folk don't need the hassle from busy bodies. Good luck with the sale .

Maybe I should talk less about the laws and regulations but the fact is 99.9% of people detecting never have any issue. We are more conscious than most people because we are approachable and likely to abide by the law. The government do a great job of making us feel like this hobby is cloak and dagger it's pretty sad and immoral to do that to the good people they serve.

Yea I know lads, I think the law is fair enough in that if it was legal then heritage sites would become a dig site. Then you look around you and there's endless fields but you need permission. The only place id feel comfortable would be a beach or maybe a forest if I didnt get lost. I love those detectors, I think I'm watching to much The curse of oak island because all I want to do is find some treasure.
And frank its nothing to do with what you've said, its just I stay out of trouble at every possible cause because id only stress too much. In the past I wouldnt have cared maybe I need to be more like that again ha.

Shame you have to pack it in over fear of prosecution Davey. The truth is quite the opposite, the museum folk are fearful that the hobby might be granted some sort of legal status so they're trying their damndest to curtail our move towards that. Lack of time I can see as a reason. I had that too but later on I found the hobby to be a great way to use my spare time. If you decide to go, best of luck. You won't find a hobby as rewarding both physically and mentally. Who knows, it could eventually be financially rewarding if the law changes.
